Matewan Community Meeting

Come join us Thursday evening for our Turn This Town Around community meeting!

This will be the chance for you and everyone who loves Matewan to come out, find out what projects you want to work on to improve the town and begin to work together to make them happen!

We know many of you are already doing the great work on many projects to turn Matewan around. We will have an opportunity at the meeting for you to talk about the great work you’re already doing – or recognize the great work one of you friends, neighbors or colleagues is working on.

When is it:
Thursday, April 24, 2014 from 6:00 – 8:30pm

Where is it:
UMWA Local 1440 Hall, Matewan

What should you bring:
Bring your passion, your ideas, and your commitment to help Matewan! And bring a friend!

Food and drink will be provided, through generous local contributions from the UMWA and the Matewan Depot, among others.

Who will be there:
We challenged Matewan town leaders to get 100 residents and supporters of the town to the meeting. We hope to see many, many people there!

The entire staff of the WV Community Development Hub, and a Coach who will be working with Matewan project teams will be there. In addition, reporters from WV Public Broadcasting and the media team from WV Focus Magazine will be in attendance.

This is the meeting to show the rest of West Virginia that Matewan residents are excited to Turn Your Town Around!

Come out, encourage others to come out!
